I functioned normally the previous day, but this morning my PC refused to start. Lights flickered, and the GPU fan began spinning—then stopped after about 15 to 20 seconds. Initially I noticed the CPU fan wasn’t running, so I disabled it, reinserted the header, and it started again, though it still powered down. I attempted to reset CMOS and waited an hour before trying to boot, but nothing changed. I swapped RAM sticks, replaced a few, borrowed another, but nothing worked. Even after replacing the CPU pins, no issues appeared. I recorded the situation with a video showing the problem. It seems there hasn’t been a power surge or other obvious cause, so I’m unsure where to investigate further.
I've tested it on some older NVIDIA GT GPUs too, same outcome. I believe the issue isn't the GPU itself, even though it wouldn't completely crash the system, maybe I'm mistaken.
It seems you're recalling a Maxpro II with a bronze rating and 1200 Watts, purchased around 1.5 years ago on Amazon. The details were updated on May 13, 2022 by xtrm.
