Device fails to power on.
Hey everyone, last Thursday I got my new hardware package. It includes: Motherboard, CPU, and memory. The motherboard doesn’t power up after turning it on, and the DRAM LED stays orange. It looks like the RAM issue is in the configuration. I initially ordered a wrong memory kit because it wasn’t meant for 12th and 13th generation CPUs. Now I’m getting a new one from the QVL list that matches K-series chips. I installed it today but still can’t get a POST. I followed the slot guidelines and tried using one stick per slot, but nothing changed. Just re-seating the CPU didn’t help either. Right now the board is just on my desk with only the power supply and CPU installed. I’m really frustrated since this setup is sitting idle while I work on my HP Prodesk. Hope someone has a solution or tips! Thanks for your help.
Hello, I own a motherboard with 12700K and plan to upgrade to 13900K. My PSU is 850W, which seems sufficient. However, I've seen many articles suggesting that a 13900K might not work well with Z690, affecting performance. Should I consider getting a Z790 Asus board instead? The BIOS is the latest version. Thanks!
You're facing the same problem with your ASUS Prime z790-P Wifi. The machine is showing flashing power lights but isn't posting properly. There are no on-board lights, BIOS USB port, or Flashback button. The CPU is an i5-12600KF, and you're unsure how to update the BIOS.
