Device fails to display results
Once the PC started up, it verified the D drive for issues and began scanning. While I was busy with another task, it continued the process. Upon returning, the system didn’t display any results and my monitor showed “HDMI no signal.” The file name recorded is VID_20230202_123044.mp4.
Turn off the PC, unplug the monitor, then plug it back in and restart. Verify your monitor settings—check HDMI inputs 1 and 2, plus any Display port or HDMI output. Make sure the monitor screen settings are correct. Also confirm the HDMI cable is securely connected. It could be a simple issue like the PC entering sleep mode after finishing a task, leaving the monitor slightly confused.
I’m trying to restart now. It seems the device is still in sleep mode, which shouldn’t fix the problem. Still, each PC has its own small issues, so maybe that’s normal.
All computers are unique, which is why we enjoy ourselves. Just a quick note—if it doesn’t start properly and the screen isn’t showing anything, follow these steps. You mentioned checking the D drive, so it might be an additional storage device. If it’s just turned off, unplug the connections on the D drive and attempt a restart. Should your PC enter sleep mode during this process, it could have encountered a problem. Usually, removing the drive resolves the issue and lets the system boot normally without it. Your D drive can be addressed later, but at least your computer should now be working.
You sent a message while I was typing your reply... great job and enjoy your computing!
