Old: Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 New: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK AM4 AMD Ryzen™ 5 4500 6-Core nVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Silicon Power Value Gaming DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) Apevia ATX-PR800W This machine is brand new, I acquired all components seven days ago and everything functioned properly. During gameplay the screen would freeze and enter diagnostics. I powered it off and when I tried to restart it it wouldn’t show or display anything. It wasn’t the graphics card we tested on another system nor the motherboard since I returned the Asrock and received the MSI model. The MSI unit worked briefly but missed the BIOS setup and turned off only via VGA, which then came back on. We experienced the same issue with VGA after replacing the RAM and resetting the CMOS, as well as trying HDMI on the original board. We relocated everything to the new unit but still faced the problem. It’s disappointing; we plan to troubleshoot again tomorrow. It doesn’t seem to be the GPU or motherboard, I suspect it might be the CPU because it was new and operated correctly. Perhaps the power supply is faulty—everything lights up with fans spinning and RGB lights flashing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Will you attempt a different or replacement of the PSU/CPU?

I’m really unsure if it’s the CPU since all the pins seem okay and the status code only shows Boot and VGA on the old board, not CPU. I’ll attempt a different PSU tomorrow but everything powers up so I’m confused. I don’t have another CPU to test, which is a disappointment.
