On the ROG Crosshair Extreme setup you can connect a graphics card, an Elgato device via PCIe slots, and two M.2 SSDs—one under the CPU and another at the bottom of the board. When I power on my PC, it fails to recognize the SSD, even though I’ve set the correct boot options. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't tested it yet, but a 2TB faster SSD placed under the CPU could potentially slow things down depending on the setup.

It doesn't really matter, just trying anyway—probably won't be much slower.

It functioned 🫵 edit: I changed it but it doesn’t show up. Probably not the motherboard since it’s new. If the top M.2 slot can read the other SSD, then the issue might be elsewhere.

Consider cleaning the gold contacts on the SSD. You might use IPA with a tissue to remove any dirt. If the contacts look really dirty, even though it's new, try it. Right now I have no clear idea of what to do beyond trying fixes and replacing the board.
