Device fails to detect M.2 SSD upon installation.
Long story short my pc ended up being sent off my desk onto the floor. Nothing appeared damage when inspected however my m.2 boot drive no longer is recognized by the bios. I’ve tried to take it out and reseat it to no avail, the connector on the drive appears unharmed I’m not sure if I should buy a new ssd or if my motherboard is damaged and I need to replace that. Any ideas?
The way the M.2 sits on a motherboard it's almost impossible to damage the M.2 or connector. I would say you have damage elsewhere on the motherboard, but may not be limited to only the board. Dropping a PC introduces serious g-forces to the GPU, CPU Cooler, etc. In short, M.2 drive is fine, motherboard most likely jacked. Anything else not working 100% perfectly?
