My computer mouse works well when moving, but clicking is problematic. Powering off and replugging restores some functionality temporarily. It only lasts a few minutes unless I'm in an active program. Outside of that, clicking anything else doesn't register. I've reinstalled Windows and am now stuck on setup because I can click anywhere. Several different mice haven't fixed the issue either.
Do they come with wireless or wired options? When connecting, do you consistently use the same USB port? If yes, consider switching to another port if you can.
You can navigate the setup using your keyboard, though that doesn’t seem to be the main issue. You’ve covered most of the basics, and it’s becoming quite strange. Try checking if the problem appears in a live Linux USB or within the BIOS, especially if your mouse is supported. Eventually, it might point to a motherboard fault.
