Device fails to connect post-M.2 WiFi card installation.
I purchased an Intel AX210 M.2 Wi-Fi card. After turning on the PC, all the debug lights blink white but the system doesn’t boot. Removing the card works fine. I’m unsure what to do since the motherboard is an MSI B550-M Pro Gen 3 (AM4).
The m.2 Wi-Fi card is meant for connecting to the internet, not for starting the main operating system.
I'm okay. However, even if the boot sequence is affected by the Wi-Fi card, it should still send a post to the BIOS, right?
I reviewed your motherboard's specifications and noticed it lacks a specific M.2 port for a Wi-Fi card. When you connected your Wi-Fi card into the NVMe M.2 slot, it wasn't identified as a Wi-Fi device but rather as a storage unit. This likely accounts for why your system fails to boot. The most effective solution would be to install a PCIe x1 card. However, if your graphics card is sufficiently large, accessing those slots might not be possible. In such scenarios, a USB dongle remains a viable alternative.
