Device fails to awaken from sleep, causing crashes and automatic restarts upon losing power.
. And this happens almost every time in above scenario. I've read somewhere that Armoury crate software could be causing the issue but Idk if I should uninstall it, because idk if my laptop will work fine under heavy gaming without the armoury crate profiles. I also read that I should try to reset the PC, but I have a lot of softwares/games that I cannot download again atm as I'm working from home with very less bandwidth of internet. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
Hi All, I couldn't find a solution on initial google searches so I'm posting here. This is my laptop. Scenario is this: Laptop is connected to charger and is working fine, I put it to sleep, and still charger is connected. Laptop is sleeping now. If I remove the charger, while its still asleep, and then try to open the charger on battery, it will show a blank screen and then just reboots. Even when I remove charger, and then re plug charger while its asleep, and then try to reboot, it will crash. I'm not very tech savvy, but I went through the even viewer around the time it happens, and usually see events related to kernel power, but I'm not sure. Let me know if a log file is needed to determine the issue, I'll need guidance on how to extract it though

I've experienced problems with Windows sleep too. I switched it off and moved on to Windows Hibarnate, which works much better overall. I suggest you try that too.
Consider changing your power plan from Balanced to High Performance using Win+R and typing powercfg.cpl in Run. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, update your BIOS via EZ Flash (details at the provided link). This log type usually offers minimal troubleshooting details. I don’t think there are useful logs available for this problem. Your laptop should handle cooling without additional software.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll test them tomorrow and let you know if it helps.
Yeah it's hidden (for no reason). It works on Windows 10 too. I also always have to google how to enable the button, so here is a quick guide: https://www.google.com/amp/s/windowsrepo...-10/%3famp You can also change the settings so it automatically goes into hibernation instead of sleep, via the menu that you get when clicking "additional power settings" from this guide: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...p-settings
You're welcome, I've made those adjustments. No problems encountered yet. I'm glad it stays like that. Appreciate the thanks!
Great news! Please let me know if anything comes up, but I believe you're all set.
