Device fails to access DRAM during startup sequence
I was assisting my friend in assembling his PC, and once everything was installed and functioning properly, we decided to adjust the RAM settings according to the manufacturer's specifications on the box. After saving the changes and exiting the system, the computer failed to restart. We left it on for about five minutes before safely powering it down. Now, when we turn it back on, it doesn’t even recognize the DRAM. We removed the CMOS battery, tried connecting it with the pins, but the issue persists. I’m really worried that the RAM might be damaged.
We allowed it to run briefly, after which the RGB appeared and transitioned to VGA before returning to DRAM. Now it's back on DRAM.
Attempt to reset CMOS once more, keeping only a single stick of RAM active.
