Last week my PC began stuttering during any activity, not just gaming. It happened every second. In the performance monitor, the active time increased with the stutter. After replacing the SATA cable, the issue disappeared completely. Yesterday it returned, but now the active time is stable. The disk transfer speed is fluctuating now, though less consistently than before (at least it looks like). I swapped out another cable, and nothing changed. I tested every SATA port on the motherboard, but the problem continued. I formatted my SSD, yet the issue remained. I switched to a different SSD, which didn’t help. To test if the SSD was the cause, I booted a Linux image on USB without the SSD driver, and it ran smoothly. Still, the stutter remains. It’s frustrating because it seems the problem is tied to the SSD, but I’m not sure. What else should I try? I know it might seem silly, but I even removed my RAM and reinserted it—no difference. I’m unsure if the power supply is faulty; maybe a better one would work. I’ve had this computer for about six months and never experienced issues before. I haven’t changed any bios since purchasing, as it seems unnecessary and there was no motivation. Could this be the issue? If so, what made it function properly before and then start causing problems now?
AMD addressing concerns by updating the latest BIOS. Fixes for TPM stutters were available several months back. The problem stemmed from accumulated issues.
Modern boards include a Bios flashback feature that helps when flashing fails. Some models even support two bios. We’ve ruled out the most probable issue. Now we’ll focus on less common causes. 1. Verify your SSD/HDD condition using Hard Disk Sentinel (free trial is acceptable) 2. Monitor CPU and other temperatures with tools like HWInfo64 or OpenHardwareMonitor – HWMonitor works too 3. Run OS checks with chkdsk c: /scan followed by sfc /scannow.

Sorry, I didn't make the memory check, I just gave up and took the PC to a repair shop. Here is a detail: I have 2 monitors and a TV on my computer (the TV is the main screen), one of my tests was of course, try to check if the stuttering was happening in every screen, and it was. Today the repair shop called me and said there was no problem at all, everything was working fine, I went there and saw it with my own eyes, everything working as it should. I took back the computer to my office, turn on the computer, and again the stuttering from hell. I changed to another wall plug and change the energy cable, the problem persisted. I booted from Linux USB Stick, no stuttering, everything working fine. I took my computer and connected to my living room TV, booted Windows, no stuttering everything working fine. I took back the computer to my office, change the HDMI cable to another port on my TV, and THERE YOU GO, NO MORE STUTTERING! I have no idea of what kind of black sorcery was happening, that for some reason the HDMI port from my TV was messing with the whole computer, all the other monitors connected had the same stuttering, EXCEPT WHEN YOU TRY TO RUN LINUX, THEN ITS OK. I thank you a lot 191x7, you were very helpful and tried to fix my problem, in the end, it was something that we will never know what the actual f*ck was going on, but problem solved
