Hey everyone, as mentioned in the title, I'm facing some Ethernet problems. Recently, my hard drive would freeze when I shut down and restarted the PC. To fix it, I disconnected the drive temporarily. After rebooting, the issue disappeared, but I want to be able to power off the computer and restart it smoothly without any hiccups. This also happens when the machine is in sleep mode. Here are some details: Windows 10, Motherboard ASRock B450 Pro4, Realtek PCIe GBE adapter. It's always connected via Ethernet, no Wi-Fi card. I've checked Device Manager for network adapters and tried disabling energy-saving settings, but couldn't find anything. Most guides suggest going to the adapter in Device Manager and turning off the power management option, but that menu isn't visible for me. I've also updated drivers and used the latest versions.

Click the network icon in the taskbar, navigate to settings, select change adapter settings, right-click Ethernet, open properties, adjust settings, enable power management, and dismiss the option.

You've attempted various solutions before encountering the same issue, but you lack access to the power management settings.

Update Windows and Ethernet drivers. For laptops or prebuilt units, visit their official site for driver support. If you're building it yourself, check the motherboard documentation for compatible drivers. Re-test after installation. Also, review the BIOS settings as they might affect connectivity.
