I recently purchased a new SSD from WD Black, a 2TB model with its own heatsink. When attempting to install Windows, it initially failed to boot onto the correct drive, but after another try it now runs on two drives. I also replaced my CPU fan with the Master Hyper 212 RGB edition, and it causes the system to briefly open for Windows before freezing. Any assistance would be very helpful.

Return to the beginning. Open Disk Management, delete every partition on the drive from the second Windows installation. Power off the PC and disconnect all other drives, keeping only the new one connected. Load the installation media and when prompted for installation location, remove all partitions from the selected drive. Select the drive and proceed with the Windows setup.

Does it freeze faster after a restart? Maybe you have a thermal problem with your new cooler... Aside from that possibility, i wholeheartedly agree with @aDoomGuy .

Did your latest cooler include thermal paste or did you apply it yourself? Have you removed the old paste from the prior cooler? It’s strange you managed to install Windows smoothly yet still face problems now. It might be related to the thermal paste issue.
