I recently assembled my first computer and have been running smoothly except for this. Sometimes the window disconnect sound loops around five times before the reconnect tone plays five more times right after the initial chime stops. All connected USB devices disconnect and reconnect very fast, but I lose Wi-Fi access during that time. The mouse and keyboard still work while it happens, though RGB turns off and resets itself. I’m not sure if others have faced this issue—it might be related to power delivery or a build mistake. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you refreshed your profiles? The AMD b550 and X570 may encounter this issue only in extremely rare instances, usually linked with 5xxx Series CPUs. AMD has issued a patch through the BIOS. Also verify your chipset driver updates (available from MSI or AMD). If the problem stems from the USB layer, they occasionally recommend changing the PCIe mode from Gen4/Auto to Gen3 in the BIOS or turning off Global C-State within the settings.

Updated my profile info, chipset, and upgraded from Gen 4 to Gen 3. Will keep this thread current if the disconnection problem returns, thanks!

Consider avoiding all devices at once to pinpoint the issue. Check if HWinfo is active—rarely does it cause AIO crashes unless paired with Corsair models. Navigate to powerplants, adjust plans, and turn off USB energy-saving. Apologies for the German screenshots. Also, don’t forget to reactivate PCIe Gen4; it wasn’t the problem, so there’s no need to keep it off.

I also tested the USB power-saving feature, but it still disconnects unexpectedly. I’m not running HWinfo, so it’s possible there’s an issue with the power delivery from my outlets. Thanks for checking, but it might be a hardware problem.

Haha, that doesn’t solve anything. You actually made a thread that was already two years old and it didn’t help at all.
