Device connected to a private network fails to produce output.
Not too long ago I installed a Samsung SCX-3200 printer on my PC. Printing worked perfectly at first. Setting it up was straightforward, but I wanted to print from my laptop over a private network. At first I thought it would be easy. It turned out a bit tricky. I made some simple errors, like forgetting to save settings a few times. When I connected the printer to the laptop and tried a test print, the printer activated but the file remained stuck in the queue. It froze, vanished, and when the laptop thought it was a printer, nothing happened. I've been working on this issue for over a week. I suspect the problem might be with the PC, not the printer or the laptop. If you need any images or more details, just let me know. Thanks for your help.
Can you retrieve folders from your desktop on the laptop? Verify that password protection for shared files is disabled in the Advanced Sharing settings across all devices. After each significant Windows update, this setting usually comes back on automatically, preventing my family from being unable to print.
