My Lenovo Idea pad S145-15ikb ceased charging. While using my laptop it reached 95 percent, and I couldn’t see any further action. I attempted all possible solutions, but the only remaining step was to take out the battery, though this would require removing the entire back cover of my laptop. My charger functions properly on another computer.

They don’t handle laptops very well, but some brands make this to stop the battery from degrading too quickly. Wait for it to lose a little charge, then see if it starts charging properly again.

Seems typical for maintaining battery health.

It could depend on software or hardware restrictions. If not, the base should have just 6 or 8 screws, and you might locate a YouTube tutorial for your specific model.

I didn’t care much about my work computer, so I never checked the power supply. I figured it out. It’s been connected for roughly four months and is currently at 95% but not charging. Doing what it should do for battery life—preserving charge cycles—means the battery is still functioning well. If you see a “Plugged in, not charging” alert after it hits 95%, it could be a hardware issue. Try charging it to 50% and see if it works again; that would confirm its health.
