Your device unexpectedly lost connection to a network, though it still works with others. The issue appears to be slower performance mainly due to lag. You've already tried Google's suggestions, but they didn't resolve the problem. Consider checking network settings or contacting your ISP for further help.

This often happens because of problems with channel settings or security configurations. Did any adjustments affect channel dimensions? Recent updates include WPA3 in New Wi-Fi, but many gadgets still can't use it. Make sure WPA3 isn't active if your device lacks compatibility, or set up a network using WPA2, the broader protocol most devices understand.

Adjust the mesh nodes to be nearer each other and rearrange your Wi-Fi-enabled computer setup to avoid obstacles like walls or furniture. Gently move your device onto your desk, keeping it away from bulky cabinets and dressers. If your system lacks an external antenna, try swapping it for an Intel PCI or PCI-E Wi-Fi card that supports access-point mode. When buying new networking gear, match the existing capabilities—Windows offers hotspot functionality that lets you connect to a router’s Wi-Fi while using the hotspot feature. Consider using an antenna cable to extend the connection point on your device or card, allowing a more precise placement. A directional antenna focuses the signal into a narrow beam, increasing strength and range; at around 15 dB you’ll see a noticeable boost in coverage. Directional antennas are affordable, typically $50–70, offering good value. Depending on your router’s location, you might also install external antennas in a peripheral area, but central placement may limit effectiveness. For wider reach, switch from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz, which can extend signal distance by several feet. Channel 1 provides better wall penetration compared to channels 6 or 11, though it’s not a major concern.
