I powered off my PC and tried various fixes, cleaned RAM, GPU, CPU, checked USB ports, swapped cords, used a different monitor, updated CMOS and reset it. Still, no display. I also removed RAM sticks one at a time without success. My system details are: X470 gaming, AMD Ryzen 2600X, MSI 3060 Ti, EVGA 750W PSU, Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RAM.
Beyond the usual hand gestures: “is it powered on” and “has it been switched off and turned back on” Do you possess an extra video card that’s functioning properly? It doesn’t need to be top-of-the-line—just sufficient to get the display working. If you have one, test it and observe the outcome. Also, if you notice any beeps or POST indicators, it would help to know about them. If not, but you have another computer or even a mobile device, you could detach the video card, rendering the machine headless, connect via telnet and inspect it remotely. I actually completed that after posting. I recently upgraded my board from a 1060 to a 3060, but the 1060 isn't working at all—no display and no sounds. I'm really stuck and don't know what to do next.
That implies your 3060 is possibly fine and the problem is elsewhere. Maybe some weird deep in the guts of windows thing, or a problem with your motherboard. Next step is try a known good one of those perhaps. If that doesn’t help maybe a known good and more powerful PSU. Seems less likely though.
I really don’t have another motherboard to test, and I’m a bit concerned. Even though the lights are working, it could still be the problem. My old PSU is 450, so I’m also nervous about replacing it.
It seems the problem might be related to GPU, RAM, or mainboard. Was the BIOS recently updated? Have you reset the BIOS settings?
I'll do your favor and thank you. The CPU light turning on and off is actually normal—something I've noticed before.
