Hello, today I was playing CS:GO but internet failed, so I stopped and moved to Windows. After returning home after a job interview, I checked the modem settings on my PC—nothing worked. My fans and LEDs are fine, but peripherals like the mouse and keyboard don’t power up, and the monitor shows "no connection." I tried turning it off and pressing the CPU switch (0) but it didn’t respond. Disconnecting all peripherals and the GPU (RX 580) helped, but my motherboard (MSI Mortar Titanium B450) wasn’t making any noise and ezdebug stayed off.

My specs are: RX 580 GPU, Ryzen 5 3600, two 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 sticks, HyperX CL16 RAM, Noctua NH12S cooler, Corsair 80PLUS 550W PSU, MSI Mortar Titanium motherboard, 1TB HDD, 240GB SSD, and a 1TB M.2 NVMe drive with Windows installed.

Should I try removing the battery or do I need to replace parts? Thanks ahead of time.

It often occurred when I tried to turn on my PC, and it would power up with the MOBo lights flashing, but my screen and peripherals wouldn't respond. For me, fixing it was as easy as reinstalling RAM. You mentioned the debug lights weren't lit, but it might still be worth a shot.

I attempted to replace and reinstall RAM, adjusted its position, but the process didn't work. Powering up the device causes the top LED to light up initially, then it stops working.

We finally succeeded! I didn’t understand what went wrong, but here’s what I did: Powered on the PC, turned it off, removed all USB connectors, took out the GPU and RAM. Swapped the RAM slots (moved number 3 to slot one), removed the battery, waited a bit, then powered it back on with just one stick of RAM and CPU. After a few cycles, it worked! Some bad words were said, but now it’s running. Thanks a lot, bro!

This problem has repeated several times over the past six months, requiring costly repairs like replacing the motherboard, and it persists despite attempts. On one occasion, the RAM was re-seated, while another involved resetting the battery. Could there be an issue with the ASUS product? The first model I owned was the Asus Prime A320M-K, and the current one is the Asus Prime B450M-K II. Only RAM, PSU, and CPU components have been replaced so far. Any advice?

It's been a recent issue. What helped was removing the RAM, booting without it, and then reinstalling before trying to start it again.

I completed the steps as instructed, then encountered a blue screen. There were several reboots, multiple BIOS freezes, and Windows couldn't resolve the error message. After reinserting the RAM, it worked perfectly—thank goodness!

It only requires a mediocre connection on a pin, and everything goes wrong. Please be assured it should be a lasting solution.
