Device activates just twice.
I used an MSI B450 Tomahawk with a Ryzen 3600 chipset, 32GB RAM, NVMe SSD, and an NVIDIA 2060 Super. The motherboard got damaged and I replaced it with an Asus Prime A320 from my earlier build. After the change, the system won’t display anything—even the BIOS—when powered on. But when I keep pressing the power button and restart, it starts. Sometimes the computer stays on but shuts down intermittently, so I have to turn it off and back on. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue.
It's possible the A320 doesn't have a ready-to-use BIOS for the 3600, or you might need an updated BIOS for it to function correctly.
I bought an A320 three years ago with a 3600 and a B450 four years ago with a 2600. Everything worked fine until I changed the processor so the 3600 now runs with the B450. Last month the B450 stopped working, so I switched back to the A320 which sat idle for two years. The BIOS is now up to date. I was using 64GB RAM, removed two sticks because of problems with the A320. I need a lot more RAM for my work. Upgrading the motherboard feels like a waste (I don’t know if it’s the issue) since new platforms don’t support four RAM sticks at high speeds due to a poor memory controller.
