Develop a system to enhance the AdviceBuilding Creator within Lightroom.
Hi - I am looking to build a system for managing and processing Images in Adobe Lightroom. I estimate 80% use for Lightroom, 10% for Photoshop and 10% for email, PowerPoint and Excel. No gaming use!
I have been watching videos and compiling the list of parts and have arrived at the following. My main questions are:
1) Is there anything I'm missing? Any gross overkills or things you would add?
2) Do you think k the AIO Liquid cooler is necessary or can I get away with fan cooling?
3) Will this fit in the intended Fractal North Case?
Here's the build list:
- Motherboard: ASUS Z890 Creator WiFi
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
- Video: Intel B580 Video Board
- SSD: Samsung 990 EVO 2TB
- Asset Drive: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
- Cache: Western Digital SN850X 500GB <--- Is this needed?
- RAM: DDR5 Crucial Pro 96GB 5600MHz (2 Sticks)
- PSU: beQuiet Pure Power 1000W
- Cooling: Liquid Freeze III Pro <--- Is this needed or can I use fan cooling?
- Case: Fractal North
- Monitor: ASUS Pro Art 27" <--- Other alternatives?
Thanks,
Paul
Cache drive: Needed? Not really, but I have one for similar uses.
If you already own that WD drive, go with it. Otherwise, it's not necessary...
Everything else looks fine.
Looking for a 120mm or 140mm rear exhaust fan for the Fractal North.

I highly recommend using two drives—one for the operating system and applications, another for data.
Overkill on multiple parts. I highly recommend against using an AIO cooler.

My present setup (and the upcoming one) includes 6x SSDs.
One for the operating system and programs.
The rest are for different purposes.
For your reference, think about how you'll handle backups and their storage.
I do this mainly because I felt the need to do it.
There is one SATA III SSD that includes cache space for LR, Corel VideoStudio, and Rhino3D (CAD).
It's not essential, though.
