Someone can help identify the device by checking its serial number, model details, and system logs. Look for unique identifiers in the manufacturer's documentation or online databases.

I attempted this but none of them appear to be using it externally. Checked the device manager—it doesn’t match my fan controller.

Thanks, the X670e Hero comes with several USB ports. The case itself is a bit confusing—I can’t populate all of them, but I have one device listed as unknown and it can’t find drivers for it. There’s also another device that reports an error with the unknown USB device descriptor request. Not sure if these are my problems.

It seems likely. I think you disconnected each gadget individually to confirm nothing vanished. To fill all connections, simply collect a set of 20 USB sticks and insert them one by one.

I don’t understand what they are. I’ll just turn them off and check if anything differs.

Yes, there are tools available that display USB activity. You might find a utility that monitors USB ports during power fluctuations. For your case, checking the laptop’s settings for power-saving modes could help identify which ports were disabled.

That's the one I mentioned in the photo, but I'm not sure what device it is.

It seems you're looking for something to watch. Could you clarify what you'd like to see?
