i always believe EK WaterBlocks is quite good quality, i’d choose that one.
i’m also tending to go with EKWB, since they seem to include the coolant and xspc isn’t (not sure).
also, how would i install a ball valve for draining the loop? or does this seem unnecessary?

EKWB for sure. They are awesome. Don't look at warranty like someone said, EKWB are an awesome company. Call them and they will take care of you.
