Determine which PCIe 8-pin connector fits your power supply unit.
I acquired a 7900xtx but noticed I'm out of an 8 pin PCIe cable. I found this link, though I'm not sure it fits your PSU. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GJQ...UTF8&psc=1 This is my PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/vfBrxr/...9020130-na
It's tough to determine the correct setup without knowing your PSU's PCI-e cable configuration. Using an incompatible cable could damage your GPU or other components. "TX-M Series TX850M" isn't recommended. You might want to reach out to Corsair directly for a replacement. Also, double-check your PSU specs—most sources suggest 4x6+2 or similar. You could try Corsair or build your own cable from your current one. Consider replacing the PSU if needed.
Some motherboards include extra power connectors, such as additional 4-pin or 8-pin options. This likely explains why the power supply has those features—it can serve both purposes, especially since the connectors appear identical at first glance.
The Legacy Compatibility chart on Corsair indicates that a Type 3 PCIe PEG 6+2 should function properly since the 24-pin motherboard connectors are arranged differently in Type 3 versus Type 4. You likely received two of these cables with your power supply, meaning you’d need to connect both connectors on one cable and one on the other to power your GPU. If you’re missing a PCIe cable, you can purchase them directly from Corsair. The TDP of the 7900XTX is 355W, so an 800W PSU should suffice.
You should have received two of these cables with your PSU, so you’d need to use both connectors on one cable. But since I don’t have the cable, Wdym suggested using both connectors on one cable instead of plugging them separately.
