I possess a modified Chromebook designed to operate on Windows 10 with a custom bootloader and UEFI firmware. I observed an empty, unsoldered space near the small PCI-e connector that holds the WLAN and Bluetooth modules. I’m unsure what this gap serves besides storage. The slot contains a total of 34 pins, with 6 designated for the remaining 28. I’ve searched online without success. I’m asking for help if I share photos of the motherboard; this could provide clues to identify it and guide me in preparing the necessary soldering work.

It seems to be a small M.2 NVMe drive. The image quality is quite poor, making identification difficult.

I don't have real-time access to specific product details, but you can check the device's label or contact the manufacturer for the exact make and model of your Chromebook.

It's an Acer C730e labeled as GNAWTY. The manufacturer marks it as a "Baytrail laptop" during the initial UEFI update. The name "Baytrail" likely refers to the processor model inside it.

Hey team, I’ve located it and am preparing the necessary parts to install an SSD on my Chromebook. I’m considering using the soldered one for additional storage or to set up a different operating system.
