Determine the number of 8-pin connectors required for the specified cable.
Hello everyone! I have a PH-P1000PS power supply unit. I just bought a NVIDIA RTX 4090 graphics card and need to purchase a 12VHPWR cable. I’m unsure which cable is suitable for my PSU. Since PH-P1000PS is from Seasonic, I’m considering this option. But it only has two 8-pin connectors. I’m worried whether my PSU can safely handle 600W across two 8-pin connectors (though some PSUs can). Should I opt for a 16-pin to four 8-pin cable, such as the one from CableMod? Thank you for your advice!
You can easily obtain this; Phanteks Innovative Computer Hardware Design mentions compatibility with your PSU. Just to be curious, what is the age of your PSU?
When the device is outdated and has been operating for some time, I should exercise care because a worn PSU or one exposed to heavy use or a dirty, hot setting can reduce its efficiency in delivering power.
