Hello, I'm checking if my CPU can be overclocked and how much it can handle without issues. The PC I own is a pre-built model with the number h8-1230z. It has an AMD FX 8120 processor, a 460-watt power supply, and an HP Pavilion Elite Angelica motherboard (M3970am). It also includes an AMD 7570 graphics card, a 1 TB Seagate drive.

With that motherboard, overclocking isn't possible. It's an OEM board locked down, running a simple BIOS. Even with a high-end overclocking board, each CPU has its own restrictions (silicon lottery), making it impossible to predict performance.

With that motherboard, overclocking isn't possible. It's an original equipment manufacturer board with a simple BIOS. Even if you had a high-end overclocking retail board, each CPU has its own limits (silicon lottery), so no one can predict your results.
