Determine the cause—CPU or RAM? The system shows instability at 3200 MHz.
I have a Ryzen 2600 with 32 gigabytes (four 8-gigabyte units purchased as one set, not two sets of two 16-gigabyte units). I used Corsair Vengeance 3200 speed RAM and had stable performance at 3000 MHz. After switching to the ASRock B450m Steel Legend motherboard, stability dropped even to 2933 MHz. I’m considering downclocking further due to ongoing issues. My question: Should I look for more compatible RAM, or should upgrading to a Ryzen 3600 fix the problem because of better memory compatibility? Another set of 32 gigabytes at 3200 or 3600 MHz would cost roughly the same as the new processor. I’m unsure and seeking advice from the community. I’m leaning toward the 3600, but want to confirm if it would really help before spending more now. Thoughts? Advice? Cat memes?
Or it might be due to the motherboard failing to supply consistent electricity
