Good evening, everyone. I’m setting up a server with Webmin, and the backend is handled by a friend of mine. For me, I need to decide the right steps: should I first create a user, then a database, next a permission for users, host access, and finally database permissions? Is there a clear sequence or should I just follow the suggested order? Also, I’m curious if using specific options in Webmin will help synchronize users between Unix and MySQL. I’d appreciate your advice—this is getting a bit confusing! Thanks in advance.

Your objective is to achieve the desired setup without establishing a new MySQL user for each system user.

Hi there, Bretos. Thanks for the update. I'm running low on time and will reply later this evening. I tried a quick workaround, but it ended up being pretty rough. I set up a user with broader database access, which helped it work now. Looking forward to adding more later. By the way, glad you checked out my post!

Hello dear Bretos, here are the key points in a different way:

I’m using only Webmin and faced problems connecting to a WordPress database. The steps didn’t work, and I couldn’t get the necessary user or permissions. Eventually, I set up a new database with its own user, which now works. This was just a temporary fix—please feel free to share your thoughts or ideas, they’re welcome!
