I’m looking into a PC build and checking out the MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 DDR4 AM4 Socket AMD board. I’m thinking of using it with an R5 5600X and a 3060 Ti GPU. Could you share your thoughts on these points?

1. Is this board suitable for my setup? I know other options might work better, but I’m limited by what’s in stock and my budget.
2. Will pairing the 5600X with the 3060 Ti at 1080p cause any performance issues?
3. Since it uses PCIe Gen 3 instead of Gen 4, could that affect overall speed or efficiency?

Thanks for your help!

It works well enough.
Some games might have a slight bottleneck, but it's acceptable.
Personally, I'd choose the 6700xt or 6750xt over the 3060ti because it offers more VRAM, better performance, and is more affordable.

This PC is a bit outdated, so I wouldn't choose the 3060 Ti. There are quicker, more affordable options like the RX6800. If you want to dive into builds and planning, I can help draft a post about a full PC setup.

I reside in a nation where the price of 6800xt is 695 dollars and 3060ti is 465 dollars...making it unattainable for me.
