I’m considering purchasing the ASUS ROG B850-F motherboard. I understand it might be on the higher end of the price range, but I’m willing to accept that since local importers offer strong warranty coverage. There are concerns about the PCIe Q-Release Slim feature on ASUS 800-series boards potentially affecting GPU connectors, which could lead to damage. Has this been experienced by others? I’ve had to reinstall GPUs and SSDs multiple times, so proper removal and reinstallation might help avoid issues.

Lol, it seems similar to my country too. They issued a statement about altering the mechanism, especially on x870 boards. I’m not sure about B850, but it’s good to double-check that the stock is brand new and get it inspected physically. It looks like they didn’t recall older models. https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/motherb...onclusion/ My take is to cut risk on big investments—especially with high-end parts like RTX40 or 50, given the fire/melt concerns. NGL, I was considering getting an Asus B850 with Qslim for my new PC, but the Q-slim update made me reconsider.

It's tough to remove the GPU from the case, especially since you can't adjust its angle like in videos. You might want to consider the TUF B850-Plus instead.
