I just finished setting up my new rig and got it running smoothly. I wanted to check how I stack up against other PCs using this CPU. I haven’t run a Prime95 test yet—just used CPU-Z and Cinebench. Please share your thoughts on the results and temperatures.

I possess a Core I9-9900K built on an Asus Strix Z390-E gaming board with 5GHz all-core boost and hyperthreading enabled. It runs Optane memory RAID 0 with three drives connected directly to the CPU, eliminating any hidden GPU. Refer to the provided link for details.

My Cinebench scores aren't as high as yours but are close. My CPU's Z score is slightly better, particularly in multithreaded tasks.

The Core I9-9900K operates at 3.6GHz OC across all cores at 5GHz voltage, except during Cinebench testing where the peak test temperature reaches 87°C. Cinebench results are 1.35 volts at a maximum of 80°C.

Cinebench best score achieved is 2117. I did not use an OpenGL mode and kept the GPU discreet.

CPU-Z single-thread rating is 595.7, multi-thread (16) is 6130.2 with a multi-thread rating of 10.29.

My Cinebench performance remains stable even at 3.5 volts. Voltages are locked, and I only experience minimal voltage droop—just a few thousandths per volt.

My Cinebench result might have been affected by throttling because I exceeded the 85°C threshold. I considered lowering the temperature to 90°C but chose not to. I don’t want to damage my costly chip. It doesn’t seem worth it for me. My model needed more voltage than yours to run stably on Cinebench. Yours was near the limit before throttling started. My CPU-Z readings were better since I could maintain stability at 1.3 volts and never exceeded 80°C.

Our cooling setups are similar, though mine is slightly smaller thanks to faster fans under stress. When fully loaded, my radiator spins up to 3,000 RPM.

Your CPU-Z scores likely came from throttling at 85°C. You might try reducing the voltage to 1.3 if it stabilizes—possibly achieving a better score than mine. Cinebench is a more demanding test than CPU-Z checks, so you should be able to get a higher result with lower voltage.

I’ll attempt this soon. I also ran the 3D Mark last night using the i9 9900K at 3.6 GHz. OC didn’t bring significant results, mainly GPU evaluations and a single CPU test.
I’ll share my CPU-Z benchmark results at 1.3 volts.

I wasn't able to reach 6000 for a multi-threaded score on CPU-Z. I adjusted the voltages slightly and still couldn't hit the target. Then I increased the overclocking to 5.1 GHz @ 1.34v (LoL) and finally succeeded. I also tested Cinebench at 5.1 GHz, which improved performance a bit.

Time Spy shows a decent improvement, while Fire Strike is nearly on the edge of the margin.

I struggle to maintain a consistent stable output at any safe voltage when running Cinebench above 5GHz. Your chip seems to perform better in this scenario. My own results aren't as reliable.
