Adjusting details at 1080p makes everything feel very soft and blurry. Probably due to Blurry FXAA or shimmering SMAA on trees and plants. It seems like my large panel is making things worse, or maybe the rendering settings are too aggressive. GTX1070 can handle around 150% and keep things smooth, but the game still feels quite soft at native 1080p (27"). Nvidia Freestyle (Fidelity Tweaking) hasn't been compatible yet either. The game runs well and is responsive, plays fast, but story-wise I'm still confused as a new player. That's my responsibility—I can look up more info if I really wanted to.

I'm at 1080 on a 24" display, and the softness appears only with light shafts. I'm also using low-medium settings.
I understand the story. It seems they've completely removed it, and you're receiving calls from unknown characters discussing things you don't grasp.

This question is about whether the story in Destiny 2 is being removed and if that matters.

I'm not sure. I only saw the first part of the game when it came out. Almost certain it mentioned who was always chatting with your ghost.

I've been having a good time,..
I just made it up as if I missed the intro, just like in other games...
If you're into looter shooters, among the options out there, give it a shot—it might be similar, though your taste might differ.
Come on in, shoot things, tweak your gear, enjoy more... I'm okay skipping parts of the story; if needed, I can rewatch Destiny on YouTube.

System specs: i7 4C8T 4790K 4.6Ghz / 16GB 2200Mhz / GTX1070
Storage: SSD 4Windblows, +10GB partition for Level2Cache (500MB/s Read/Write Fancycache) on a 2TB SSHD for gaming
Performance: Runs smoothly at 1080p with 150% Res Scale (2880x1620p Ultra Settings). This matches my 60-80FPS performance with 75Hz Freesync Monitor.

The game's storytelling in gameplay has often been lacking, worsening over time unless you begin from Destiny 1. Cutting away more plot details isn't too bad since it was minimal at first, but it's disappointing. To understand the story better, watching videos from the Destiny lore expert "My Name Is Byf" on YouTube is a good idea. He recently posted a comprehensive 3 and a half-hour video covering Destiny before Shadowkeep was introduced. The next best approach is reading the various grimoire and weapon lore as you progress, piecing together the narrative—though I wouldn't suggest it unless you're already engaged and want to focus on a particular character like the Drifter or Ada-1.

It seems the beginning matches Destiny 1 quite closely... yet you can still experience the main stories of Destiny 2, but you must interact with an unexpected character instead of the usual leaders at the tower, which feels odd. I haven’t noticed any clues for this and have just been instructed to participate in random events on planets and PVP.

I've boosted my character to 900 light and I'm heading to the moon to try out some new things.
