Despite updating my bios to the default settings, the computer still won't start.
I've been using this PC for four months now.
The specs are: I7 7700k, 16 gigabytes RAM, GTX 1070.
It works fine until today.
I changed the X.M.P setting from disabled to profile 1 in the BIOS.
After rebooting, it still doesn’t start properly—it shows a message about problems and asks to restart.
It keeps restarting repeatedly.
I’m new to this, so I’m really sorry for what I’ve done.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Exactly how we restore everything to its original setting is being clarified. Which motherboard are we referring to? The safest way to erase the CMOS and return to factory defaults is:
Step one: disconnect the computer from the power source.
Step two: detach the CMOS battery from the motherboard, be careful with its position, leave it out for roughly thirty minutes, then enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
Step three: reattach the motherboard battery after the waiting period.
Step four: connect the computer back to the wall power.
Step five: press the power button and enter the BIOS by following the prompts on your start screen—typically F1, F2, or Delete—and once inside, set the date and time before pressing F10 to save and exit.
