Hello everyone. I recently updated my PC by installing Windows 11 using the official Microsoft download. I observed that after launching the system, it takes longer than usual—over 40 seconds—to open any application or access the desktop. The boot phase from cold start to showing the desktop also takes around 40 seconds. When I had the login screen on, with the hours and wallpaper visible, it would wait another 40 seconds before accepting my password. I attempted to bypass this by removing the login prompt and entering a password directly, but the issue persisted. It seems the problem isn’t with the login step itself. Previously, it worked immediately after booting.
I checked the Event Viewer for errors related to Secure Boot and found an alert, though the cause isn’t clear. I ran the System File Checker, which showed no issues, and updated my BIOS while cleaning the CMOS. Still, the delay remains. Could there be another factor affecting performance?
