My friends PC is stuck on the Acer boot-up screen. It tells you to press Del to enter BIOS or F12 to access the boot menu. We don’t know what to do next, could you let me know if anyone has suggestions?

It depends on which key you press. One or the other will trigger a specific action.

It only displays bios or a boot menu based on the button pressed, but then it fails to respond further.

I understand, beginning a new thread for the same issue only adds unnecessary complexity.

The bios seems to be missing, which could point to a hardware or firmware problem. Trying to re-flash the bios might not cause damage, though it may not resolve the issue.

They’re showing up in what context? I assumed he couldn’t access the BIOS. If he does enter the BIOS but struggles to boot into Windows properly, it might point to a Windows boot problem. It’s not only about missing drives but also about where they’re not visible.
