Desktop features are unavailable in Windows 11 23H2.
I'm working on setting up Sunshine stream server for gaming on your TV. Most parts are functioning well, but the final hurdle is managing the EDID dummy display so it doesn't appear alongside other monitors in Windows 11. I found discussions suggesting an option called "Remove display from desktop" under advanced settings, which seems to be missing on some systems. On a comparison with a machine running 22H2, that feature was available, but not on your 23H2 version. It's possible this setting was disabled or altered in your Windows 11 release. Could someone confirm if this functionality exists in your current build? There might be third-party tools or PowerShell scripts that can restore it, or registry adjustments to achieve the desired display behavior.
You might need it to ensure compatibility or access features that aren't available on your existing monitors.
Streaming the game keeps the screen updated, matching what you see on your monitor. This method lets you operate the machine without a display, turning off the screens too. The EDID device is simulating a 4K 60Hz HDR screen, which matches your TV's output. Your monitors only support 1080p at 60Hz.
