For the output Ethernet ports, follow these steps to link them to your router.
Using a switch, each patch panel connection links to a port on a network switch via a standard cable. Then attach a switch port to the LAN side of your modem. (Simple switches without advanced features don’t have inputs and outputs, so you can use whatever makes sense. I typically choose the first or last port for the modem just to keep cables organized.)
