I recall a game from my childhood, which was essentially a first-person shooter where you controlled a spaceship and could navigate freely in any direction across levels. You completed various missions and battled robots throughout the stages. I suggest checking out the early preview to get a sense of the experience. The latest entry in the series is Descent 3, released in 1999. You might want to explore its visuals and see how they compare to the reboot version. I wish I had learned more about it sooner, but it remains interesting regardless. This title is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Max, and Linux. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rev...dom-shoote For a preview, visit Steam at the provided link or the Kickstarter page for direct downloads.

I recall being really amazed by this and the ease of movement when I was young. There were no up or down directions.
