I used to enjoy playing games, but now I hardly do. With a PC and Steam, I have plenty of titles, yet I rarely engage. I usually just play BF4 a couple times before giving up. I installed many games but don’t feel motivated to play them. Time seems to slip away, even when I’m working hard during the week. I prefer mobile games or watching movies on my iPad over actual gaming lately. I miss that feeling of achievement from games.
Remove all titles you’re certain you’ll never enjoy. You’ll end up with around 10 to 20 games. That should make you want to try something new again.
You clearly aim for more than just winning games, wanting to achieve something beyond finishing matches. You realized what that means for you—it involves taking risks you’re not ready for right now. I’ve experienced that too; sometimes playing solo was worse than playing with people I thought would join me. If this is happening, the best solution is to connect with friends who share your interest.
I've been reflecting on Altis Life lately. Are there any solid running experiences or reliable servers without the usual approval steps? I really miss my pickup truck and those long drug runs.
Eventually, other matters take precedence over games. Take a pause.
