Deploying WSUS on local
Deploying WSUS on local
Morning team, with the recent W10 releases still catching up, I thought about setting up WSUS on our Workshop PCs. I’ve used them before with 2008 R2 at my previous job. My main concern is whether I can run WSUS on a Windows 10 system. Since the machines are mostly used for data recovery and we run some VMs for sandboxing, I don’t want to set up a full server VM just for this purpose. It would be great if someone could confirm how this can be done and what the best approach is.
Consider using a virtual machine for Windows Server with Hyper-V
it seems I'll need to adjust my approach and only activate the VM when necessary. Frustrating since most third-party tools are too aggressive, especially in professional settings where updates should stay on-site and be pushed to clients' machines only when they're available, not constantly.
