Dell OEM Windows XP home version
Dell OEM Windows XP home version
I'm working on an older Dell Inspiron 1300 and it's heavily infected with malware. I need to completely wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP. The issue is that the original OEM disc wasn't included, so fixing the computer seems impossible. I'm searching online for a Dell OEM ISO file, but haven't found one that matches the activation key on my laptop. Anyone know where to find Dell OEM ISO files or Toshiba Win XP Pro ISO?
Obtain the standard XP Home ISO file and proceed with installation. Most drivers are likely available on Dell's site or from vendors like Realtek and nVidia.
I've got a lot of Windows XP CDs, and it's really frustrating.
I’m planning to use a standard ISO disc, though past results with non-OEM ones and OEM keys have been inconsistent. Thanks for the offer, but the original key is still intact—only used once if the owner is willing. It’s interesting how many copies remain available 12–13 years after XP was released.
I’ll use the downloaded ISO right now, and only switch to the black edition when needed. I’ll remember about getting an XP copy someday. Thanks again for the offer—it really doesn’t feel right to say it once.
