I checked all over the motherboard. I currently have a Dell OC27VV with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 CPU.
I want to boost my CPU performance. The motherboard is locked down by Dell. I've tried taping the pins on the left side, but it didn't help (I think it doesn't work for the Q9400).
My last try was using SetFSB, but I need to know the PLL settings. I searched online but found nothing useful.
Details:
- Model: MB- Dell OC27VV
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad q9400 @ 2.66 MHz
- Socket: 775LGA (just in case)
Any alternative ways to overclock this CPU?
Do you know the PLL on this board?
Without upgrading, any other suggestions besides giving it a hard time?

The tape mod isn't functioning since your q9400 is already running at 1333MHz FSB. If you have some high-resolution close-ups of your MB, we might locate the clock generator IC. PS: Consider trying IDT CV184-2APAG.
