Turning it on with battery power activates the power indicator, yet the power switch remains off, and there is no response when connected to a power source.

We require additional details to assist you effectively. Could you clarify what occurred before the problem began? For instance, was the device functioning normally until it stopped abruptly? Was it accidentally dropped? Did a power surge affect your home while it was charging? Please refer to the Dell Owners Manual for your specific model... Dell Latitude E5270 Owner's Manual

I don't think there was a power surge; the issue didn't occur. It happened before and resolved once the device was on the floor for about three hours. Additionally, it began after I changed the battery.

The problem seems connected to swapping the battery. Was it a straightforward removal and installation of the new unit, or were there additional steps such as soldering a ribbon cable?

It was simply retrieving it and inserting the updated version.

Disconnect the power source and attempt to operate the laptop without it. This will help determine if the problem lies with the battery.

Additionally, it behaves identically without any RAM and using a different device's tool. This situation has occurred before and resolved on its own.
