I recently purchased a Dell G7 17 (7590). Here’s the information you shared: https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-lap...gn77d595au. I was thinking about overclocking this H series chip without changing the base clock. Would there be a safe method that avoids boosting the core speed? I prefer to skip the extra fans and heat when it’s not necessary. I’m aware it’s not designed for high speeds, and I’d rather keep things stable and secure.

Reduce the voltage, you won’t be able to overclock the CPU, and the device also lacks adequate cooling.

You can't fix most laptop chips because they're already operating at their limits. Undervolting helps by lowering temperatures, which lets the CPU run cooler for longer periods, improving performance.

I understand the laptop cooling capacity and the limited thermal headroom. While increasing it can improve performance, it isn’t the goal here. It’s not something that would benefit me in this situation.
