Regarding FreeSync settings and power-saving features, it seems to point toward either a GPU problem or electrical issues (like a faulty cable). If it's hardware-related, there could be a fault in the graphics card itself. Otherwise, software or monitor configurations might be causing the issue. Usually, the GPU is responsible for generating artifacts.
I've enabled gsync but it didn't disappear, and power saving remains active. It might be a power supply issue—perhaps the PSU or the cable connecting the PSU to the GPU is faulty.
Your monitor is quite a bit older. Check the FurMark results at https://geeks3d.com/furmark/downloads to observe system performance under GPU stress and power consumption. A killawatt meter could also be useful. PassMark offers a stability test at https://www.passmark.com/products/perfor...wnload.php. Besides that, experiment with another PSU and observe any changes. Make sure all connectors are securely attached—especially the one linking to your monitor. Verify the GPU driver, screen settings, and game configurations. Try varying monitor refresh rates with or without FreeSync. Plug the PC into a different power socket on the wall, and do the same for the monitor. Test across various games. Inspect your monitor settings to rule out features like PowerSave or dynamic adjustments that might interfere. Consider using a different cable—preferably DisplayPort or HDMI—and ideally a newer model. Although the problems seem GPU-related, I suspect software issues could be involved; power from the outlet might also play a role. You might also try an older monitor if available and eliminate some concerns. If you're using Linux, test the game there to compare behavior with Windows. Patience is key here.
It's around four years old, but I have two monitors and I checked both. Unplugged one and used the other each time. Ready to try the two programs and see what happens. This one seems tricky—I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or something with drivers/software. I'll test things and keep you posted. Thanks for the advice! Check out another video.
Great, continue ignoring the issues. I’d focus on the monitor or PSU first, then inspect the cables connected to the monitor. Execute FurMark and run various games at different refresh rates (or with VSync enabled), and share the findings.
