Delete all viruses off Chrome?
I've noticed many "virus extensions" popping up on Chrome repeatedly. While a full reinstall is an option, I'm curious if anyone has discovered ways to remove them or turn off extensions altogether. I've checked the control panel and attempted deletion, but it's still happening.
What bothers me about reinstalling Chrome is how long it takes—about ten minutes. If the extensions keep appearing, you need to reinstall Chrome to ensure the malware isn’t hidden elsewhere on your computer. If they return after reinstalling, it suggests a deeper infection that’s harder to eliminate. Trying to track down a virus this way can be frustrating, so the easiest fix is just to reinstall the software.
Consider this approach. Just to be clear, remove Chrome, run a malware scanner, use CCleaner for cleanup, and then reinstall Chrome.
Muh botnet is not reliable; Firefox has issues and doesn’t work well. Opt for Chromium instead. @ jordanmaloney Get this tool and start using it. http://www.techsupportall.com/adware-removal-tool/
Only a few developers are actively contributing to Firefox. They tend to prioritize social features over core functionality. Combined with sluggish page loads and weak flash support, it feels like a dated browser. Chrome clearly outperforms it, though it still suffers from botnet issues. Still, Chromium remains a reliable alternative.
