I'm working with a new PC featuring a 5800x CPU, but testing on an older 8350. Both systems will run Windows 10. Steam no longer supports XP, so the standard download won't work. Many games don't function properly on 64-bit Windows 10, including CD and floppy games. I've started using VirtualBox for emulation. There are some issues I'm encountering online, but a faster CPU might help with performance problems. I can't register for Steam via the web anymore, and it seems outdated servers aren't available. Should I consider using a pre-installed older machine instead of relying on emulators? I'm looking into the steam_201901 file to see if it resolves my current problems.
