This problem is really annoying. It's been occurring for about a week, everything was working before. During a Discord call with friends, their voices lagged and the game slowed down a lot. Restarting the router or PC helps temporarily, but it keeps happening again later. I’m using wireless now and can’t connect via Ethernet at the moment. I don’t have any issues with YouTube or anything else. My speed test results are available if you need them.

Investigate the issue by performing a wireless scan with WiFi Analyzer on the affected machine. Display the results for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Identify the manufacturer and model of your Wi-Fi adapter. Determine the distance from the wireless access point. Check the type of wireless router or AP you are using. Review the settings configured on the wireless router or AP.

I received an Ethernet cable and the problem continues. It occurs at night. It functions properly during the day. Playing COD works well. Discord is problematic, experiencing large ping fluctuations—from 24 to 5000—and voice lag on the phone as well. Occasionally speaking on Discord sounds clear, then it slows down slightly before becoming completely unheard, followed by similar patterns repeating.

What kind of Ethernet connection do you have? Is it connected straight to the router or ISP equipment? This might be related to high network or server demand. Have you attempted linking to another server if feasible?

Connect to another server by linking the cable to a different device on your network, such as a computer or switch. Ensure the target machine has the appropriate network settings enabled.

The person responsible for setting up the Discord server should choose the region nearest to most users. Refer to the Discord FAQ for details.

It's positioned near the nearest area, though performance remains slow. COD runs smoothly, but DBD experiences delays.

Try another nearby region. I suspect there is a busy segment between your ISP and the actual servers you're connected to. Not much you can do about that. You can try running a tracert to the game server's IP to get an idea of where the high latency is located.
