I noticed something unusual in one of Linus's videos—he mentioned replacing a CPU with liquid metal to enhance cooling. That sounds risky and not recommended for regular use. For your i5 9600KF, it’s best to avoid such modifications unless you’re experienced and have proper knowledge.

Its soldered. The liquid metal conducts heat similarly. It would be completely pointless unless you do it for fun. (Me)

I believe the chips had a soldered heat spreader, which likely limited further temperature gains. What readings do you observe now? I doubt I’d proceed.

You may connect the plate to the cooler using LM. Search for relevant videos to check for temperature optimization opportunities.

The distinction between LM and premium pastes such as NH-T1, MX4, Kryonaut is essentially nonexistent.

I haven't built my PC yet. I'm looking for a power supply and storage. I have an AIO and thermal grizzly paste, which sounds great.

Wait till its built then(also id return those parts if you can, cause there already last gen). My guess is it will be more than plenty stock.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with that personally. I don't use LM and I'm rushing to change my hardware. "No one has time for that." For me, it's Antec Formula 7. Recently I've been using up the IC diamond tubes just to dispose of them. A good friend sent me some, but he doesn't like the spreading and the etching—it causes issues. But it seems to conduct heat very well.
